Hello, I am Lexi Hinde. I am creating this GoFundMe to support one of the most deserving people that I know, Gabbie, aka gabbieshandmadehaven on TikTok.
Gabbie is a huge part of our community and shows up and supports all of us. When I was at a low point and needed help, she started a train of donations to my Venmo account so my family could get gas and groceries! Within an hour, I had around $100 and I had food to cook dinner for my husband and daughter. It was one of the most generous and kind things anyone has ever done for me! And now I would like to extend the kindness and love back to her. She is the kind of person to give the shirt off her back to help someone in need and never expect a single thing in return.
During the last week of October, Gabbie found a painful mass in her breast, and by Halloween, the mass had grown larger and more painful, so she went to the doctor the following Monday. Her doctor couldn’t be 100% sure what the mass was without ordering several tests, and Gabbie was put on antibiotics in case it was Mastitis.
Today, November 18th, Gabbie had a mammogram and an ultrasound. Both tests were extremely expensive, and Gabbie had no choice but to charge both medical expenses to her credit cards.
Gabbie is experiencing a hardship during a time of year that should be filled with happiness and joy! And while I know that she will make the most of it and make sure her daughter has the best holiday season, the struggle is real and sometimes we just have to ask for help from our community!
I hope you will donate anything you can; every little bit helps. So Gabbie can pay off her medical expenses and be able to provide an awesome Christmas for her 5-year-old daughter.
Some facts to think about:
- During this last month or so, Gabbie was rear-ended in her car twice!
- She is still waiting for her test results to find out if the mass in her breast is cancerous or benign.
- Gabbie is a single mom of a beautiful 5-year-old daughter who colors all of us beautiful pictures for any swap or package Gabbie mails out to the community!
- Gabbie crochets incredible things, and you can place orders for custom items! She also upcycles and creates new beautiful pieces of jewelry out of broken pieces. She’s wildly talented!!
- It is the holidays, and her daughter deserves some gifts from Santa. Medical expenses, regular bills, and daily expenses put a huge strain on buying gifts, especially with the prices at the store going up!
- Finding a mass in your breast and it taking weeks just to be able to get tested takes a huge toll on your mental health. The waiting and wondering and worrying is so hard!
- Gabbie is a hard worker and has a job to support her family, and these expenses have made things extra hard right now.
- Gabbie supports all of us; she buys our jars, makes us beautiful things, does swaps, reposts everyone’s TikToks promoting our jars, and watches, comments, and likes our videos as often as she can! ☺️
