Help Support Gabbie Madero's Recovery

Dear Friends and Family,

On August 2nd at approximately 2 AM, our beloved Gabbie was involved in a devastating car accident where she was T-Boned at a high rate of speed, by a drunk driver. She was taken to Madigan Military Hospital in Washington State, where she has been in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in critical condition.

Gabbie sustained severe life changing injuries, including a fractured foot and perforation to her small intestine, which led to a septic infection, ultimately causing her to go into septic shock. She was rushed into emergency surgery, which has now required multiple surgeries and she now faces a life changing and challenging road of recovery ahead.

Currently, Gabbie will be hospitalized at Madigan Hospital for the next few weeks. Once stabilized, she will need to remain in Washington State for another few month or so to undergo rehabilitation and necessary therapies. She will have to stay in AirBnB with a caregiver while commuting to and from appointments and therapies, before she can travel back home to New Mexico.
