Hello, this fundraiser is for my very good friend FuuLuluu to move out of her current living situation.

I've known Fuu for 7 years. She is a freelance artist who is disabled and has no current form of transportation. She has been working as a freelance artist for 14 years, and has been streaming on twitch for 8. She is an incredibly empathic, entertaining, and patient woman, she is very responsible with her funds, and is the hardest working woman I know.

Her Backstory

Fuu comes from a very abusive family. Her grandmother, who she primarily lived with growing up, physically and verbally abused her as a child, to the point where her school once got CPS involved, started developing dementia in the last few years, which lead to Fuu becoming her caregiver. Her mother is a substance abuser and also physically abused her and would constantly try to manipulate her. Her father split with her mother early on and was present for a while until he went to prison, afterwards his presence became less and less as he moved to New Hampshire.

Her Current Situation

About 3 years ago, Fuu was forced to move out of her grandmother's small house since her mother started to move into the grandmother's house under the guise of taking over as the grandmother's caregiver and eventually to inherit the house.

Before she could re-enter her life, Fuu moved out to live with her father and stepmother in a remote house in New Hampshire, which has made it very difficult for her to live without being reliant on them for groceries and other necessities. They provided her a small unfinished living area which was essentially a closet used to store construction materials for the house.

The first couple years were ok, she was working towards getting her drivers license and was working on saving up money to eventually move out on her own, and the family was somewhat supportive for her. Recently however they have been voicing their disapproval of how much work she's putting into improving her life from their perspective, they have discluded her from some family activities, claiming her of faking disability, blamed their cat's health on her, and above all else likened her to her mother. This has caused Fuu to feel unwelcome in the house, which has lead to her not interacting with them as much and letting some messes get out of hand in her own living space. Her father and stepmom have recently given her an ultimatum where she needs to deal with the mess or be kicked out of the house.

Conclusion

She will work to meet the ultimatum of course, but this fundraiser is to aid with getting her out of this unsupportive environment and into her own place where she can finally feel comfortable in and work towards a better future. The total goal amount is $20k which is a rough estimation of a years worth of rent somewhere in the north-eastern USA, and would allow her time to settle in and manage her funds to continue supporting herself independently.
