Hi my name is Sandra and this is Zelda.  She is like my little sister and we have known each other since we were little kids.  She is currently
battling the biggest battle of her life.  She has Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).  Her kidneys have stopped working and she has been on daily dialysis treatments for over a year.  She must do this to stay alive.

In December 2019, she unexpectedly suffered kidney failure. Her doctors advised her to consider getting a kidney transplant, which will give her the best chance of living a long and healthy life. It would also give her her freedom, energy and so much more. She has been actively advocating for a Living Donor Kidney for the past 3 years.

In May of 2021, her prayers and the prayers of so many of her supporters were answered in the form of a living kidney donor.  She is now preparing to make her journey back to California to receive her donor kidney at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  She is scheduled to begin IVIG treatments to lower the chances of her body rejecting the transplanted donor kidney.  Immediately following these treatments, she will be going in for the transplant.

With this miracle, comes a mountain of unforeseen expenses.

The funds raised will only be used for transplant-related expenses that the insurance doesn’t cover; including lab tests, medications and follow-up care after she leaves the hospital and relocates to California from Massachusetts for four months.
