Help save a Zimbabwean Dr battling Leukaemia

Dr Alistair Matambo has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia(a cancer affecting the bone marrow).He is a 33 year old medical doctor working in the department of Oncology, University of Zimbabwe as a junior registrar.He is married and has 2 children,the younger being 3 months old.He has been attending to and treating cancer patients in Zimbabwe for the past 2 years.Prior to that he was working at Mutambara Mission Hospital where he attended to thousands of people.He has been a very active volunteer in medical outreach programmes. Alistair is currently receiving chemotherapy at a local hospital in Zimbabwe. The first cycle is expected to be completed on 13 December 2019. His treating haematologist and oncologists have indicated that once he has completed chemotherapy, he should proceed to have a bone marrow transplant to improve his chances of survival. This procedure is not available in Zimbabwe, and the cheapest qoutation we have is USD$50000 in India, with costs rising to USD$100000 in other countries like South Africa. This cost excludes travelling expenses.The subtype of the cancer he has is Philadelphia chromosome positive which has a very poor prognosis(outcome) hence the need for up front bone marrow transplant to increase the chances of cure.
Alistair is a well known and jovial fellow among his colleagues and patients. Please help us save his life, so that he can continue with his medical career and save more lives.
