Hi there, my name is Mark Harris, I'm a visual artist based in San Francisco, California.

Recently my studio was damaged by a severe rainstorm that blew off half of the roof, just six weeks before a major exhibition that I've been preparing for at the San Francisco Arts Commission's Main Gallery. Water came in through the ceiling destroying several of my pieces and damaging much of my equipment and materials.

As you can imagine, this was a devastating blow to me both creatively and financially. I have been working tirelessly for months to prepare for this exhibition, and now I am back to square one, but I am not giving up.

As an artist, I'm used to facing obstacles and setbacks, but this one feels particularly tough. It's hard to put into words just how much this exhibition means to me - it's a chance to share my work with a new audience, connect with other artists and art lovers, and hopefully take my career to the next level.

I am determined to make this exhibition happen, no matter what. That's why I am turning to you for help. I've started this crowdfunding campaign to raise the funds I need to replace the equipment and materials that were lost and get back on track. With your support, I know I can make this happen.
