He has been diagnosed with a large brain tumor located in the posterior fossa, affecting the 4th ventricle. This tumor is causing severe hydrocephalus an excessive buildup of cerebrospinal fluid that is placing dangerous pressure on his brain. Doctors have already performed an emergency procedure to place a VP shunt, which helped relieve the pressure temporarily. However, this is only the first step. The child now urgently needs a delicate and complex surgery to completely remove the tumor. Without this operation, his life is in serious danger. Sadly, Venezuela’s public healthcare system is in crisis. Families are responsible for covering the full cost of life-saving procedures like this one—expenses far beyond their means.
