Update on September 28,2017
Tyler passed away at 4:30 am on Friday morning at his home. He fought hard for as long as he could.
Though we are saddened for losing an incredible fighter, he is no longer in discomfort or pain.
Thank you all so much for your support, words of encouragement, and generosity you have been giving to Tyler and his family.
Tyler “RELENTLESS” will be remembered among all of us who have crossed paths with him. He has inspired us and left a mark on us all.
We will no longer be taking donations, but in honor of Tyler, we have a team set up with Cycle for Survival. We will be dedicating and celebrating his life when we join together to “ride” in honor of him. Any donations to Team RELENTLESS, will help MSK in cancer research and development. Here is the link:

Please come out and ride with us as West LA Equinox on February 24, 2018 from 6-10 PM!
This is Tyler. Tyler was diagnosed with one of the rarest, doctor-baffling forms of Germ Cell/Teratoma tumor cancers at the age of 25. His tumor was the size of his liver and was attached to his heart. Tyler endured incredibly toxic cycles of chemotherapy (each 6 days w/ 24 hour non stop chemo drip).
Despite the painful treatment and stress of an uncertain future, he always had that winning smile that you see in his picture. Through positivity and extraordinary care, Tyler beat the cancerous onslaught that threatened his life. He's always been a fighter. In fact, he was an amateur USA 145 lb Muay Thai Champion so the competitive athlete in him didn't stop fighting when his fighting career was over. In fact, while recovering from open heart surgery and undergoing tenacious chemotherapy Tyler got his degree in media broadcasting and graduated at the top of his class. He said he knew, deep down, he was going to win this battle and win he did! Tyler began a new cancer free life, and excelled at everything he put his mind to.
Sadly, every true champion is often challenged multiple times, and now three years later Tyler is back fighting his same life threatening opponent. The cancer is back, a different and even more rare kind. He is fighting this very minute a very vehement battle against melanoma of the liver, sacrum, and spine. He has already gone through 20 rounds of chemo and beat the 12 tumors found within his body with radiation but still needs needs treatment for the cancer in his liver and spine. Because chemo is not an option, on July 5th, Tyler will begin receiving revolutionary immunotherapy treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Even with the best doctors in the world treating him, a healthy body going into this fight, and a positive "don't quit" attitude, Tyler still needs our help.
The best team of doctors studying his case isn't cheap, nor is the traveling from home to NY, hotel stays, medical care, insurance, etc. Tyler has spent his life being an inspiration to people around him, helping people around him, encouraging health and wellness and the practice of hard work to achieve your hopes and dreams. He'd tell you that you could do anything and make you believe it enough to go and do it. And now it's our turn to tell him that we believe he can do this. The very thing that nobody ever wants to have to do and finish this long fight for his life.
Please donate whatever you can to Tyler's gofundme page. Even the smallest donation will help his family provide Tyler with the treatment and care he so desperately needs.
Tyler's spirit is unmatched. I dare us to match that level and move our beloved Tyler enough to know there is good reason to keep up the fight. He is loved more than he knows. Cheers to your generosity, and to hope.
