Help Fund the Trans Youth Rally at Stanford!
Monday, July 14 | 12–1:30 PM
Stanford Medical Center | Palo Alto, CA
⸻
Trans youth deserve care, not compliance, silence, or abandonment.
On July 14, trans youth, students, parents, healthcare workers, and community members will rally outside Stanford Medical Center in response to a disturbing and quiet trend: the suspension of gender-affirming care for minors by multiple Bay Area clinics, including Stanford, Gender Confirmation Center, and Align Surgical Associates.
Stanford has also recently adopted a policy banning trans women and girls from women’s sports. These rollbacks, done in compliance with federal pressure, not California law, threaten the lives, health, and dignity of trans youth across the region.
⸻
What We’re Organizing
The “Trans Youth Deserve Care, Not Compliance” rally will feature:
• Young Adult speakers
• Performances by youth drag artist and chant leader
• ASL interpretation, and access seating
• Rally art, signage, and sound equipment
• Community care station with PPE, water, and snacks
This is a youth centered, grassroots mobilization. We are not funded by large nonprofits. We are relying on community care to make this rally safe, accessible, and powerful.
⸻
️ What We’re Raising
We are seeking $2,400 to cover:
• $1,000 – Honoraria for speakers and performers
• $500 – ASL interpretation and access coordination
• $500 – Sound system and materials
• $200 – Mutual aid (transportation, food stipends, PPE, etc.)
• $200 – Emergency costs and printing
Every dollar goes toward making this rally happen and ensuring no one is left behind, especially those most impacted by this moment.
