Hello my name is Thomas Hurst. I have been invited to train and play with the professional Spanish soccer club RC Celta de Vigo, as part of their International Team Trial Program based in Vigo, Spain. This prestigious 11-month program could lead to a professional contract and is a major honor for a student-athlete from our area. As a proud Bensalem resident, I’ve worked hard both academically and athletically to reach this point. I currently maintain a 4.2 GPA, serve as a 3.5-year Varsity Captain of the soccer team, and have competed as a Centerback and four-sport varsity athlete. I’ve also received multiple athletic awards for my leadership and performance. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a college degree in Sports Medicine, with a goal of continuing my work in athletics both on and off the field. While this opportunity is a dream come true, it comes with a financial challenge. The total cost of the program is €23,000 (approximately $25,000 USD) and includes housing, meals, travel, and professional-level training in Spain.
