Hi, I'm Digby.

I’m currently producing an independent documentary called This Is Digital ID — an investigation into the rapid rollout of Digital ID in the UK, who is driving it, and what it could mean for our future if it goes unchallenged.

This film isn’t theory or speculation. It’s grounded in real policy, real infrastructure, and real consequences — and it’s being made right now.

Over the past few months, I’ve been filming protests, interviewing members of the public, and speaking to voices who are deeply concerned about where this is heading. I am now also in the process of interviewing politicians, people directly involved in policy and implementation, and political activists to get to the root of the Digital ID agenda — not just what is being built, but why.

The aim of this documentary is clear:

to awaken people to the dangers of Digital ID, to explain what it truly means for the future of mankind, and to explore what can still be done to stop it before it becomes irreversible.

Why I’m Asking for Support

Recently, the production has been hit hard.

I’ve experienced a serious digital attack that resulted in footage, documents, and project files being wiped — not once, but multiple times. As a result, I’ve had to urgently replace essential equipment just to keep the project alive, including:

• New computers

• Multiple external hard drives

• Secure backup systems

• Ongoing data recovery and protection costs

These are not upgrades — they are necessities to finish the film safely and properly.

As an independent filmmaker, there is no studio backing this project. No broadcaster. No corporate sponsor. That independence is exactly what allows this documentary to ask uncomfortable questions — but it also means the financial burden sits squarely on me.

What the Funds Will Be Used For

All funds raised will go directly into completing This Is Digital ID, including:

• Replacing and securing production equipment

• Editing and post-production

• Graphics and explainer visuals

• Travel and filming costs for interviews with politicians, insiders, and activists

• Secure data storage and backups

• Final delivery of the documentary

Why This Matters

Digital ID is not a distant idea. It’s happening now.

Major decisions are being made that could reshape access to work, services, movement, and personal autonomy — yet most people have not been fully informed about the long-term implications.

This documentary exists because too much of this conversation is being buried in technical language, policy documents, and quiet rollouts. My aim is to bring it into the open — clearly, honestly, and without fear — so people can make informed choices while there is still time.
