Situationship is a dramatic thriller that will turn heads and have you guessing what happens next.

The Story

The film follows a young woman trying to piece together an escape from her felonious partner, with the help of a local waitress.

After getting into a heated argument with her "partner", Michael, an older man who has been sexually trafficking her since she was young, Audrey resorts to confiding in the diner's waitress, Lisa, who ends up calling the police and saving Audrey.

There's drama, there's tension, there's violence.

About The Director

My name is Emily Keeling. I'm from Louisville, KY. I am a junior studying Film & Television at Columbia College Chicago. I am the writer and director of the short film, Situationship.

Why This Matters

This short film acts as a creative voice to help raise awareness about trafficking. This film explores the point of view of a young girl who is struggling with coming forward and asking for help. This is a common struggle for those experiencing some sort of human trafficking in general.

Any funds raised will go directly to production.

Whether that be paying for our location, funding our actors, or raising money for production design, the money will directly support the creative process of this film.
