Hello, My name is Chrissy Barbeau. I have created this GoFundMe page with the blessing of Steffen's mother Gry, in hopes that we can raise funds for the search and rescue mission in Northern Manitoba along the Hudson Bay.

Steffen is missing, his dogs were found without their pack bags, and we are looking to raise more funds to continue the air and ground search.

Steffen Skjøttelvik was on his way trekking across Canada for the last couple years. He travelled the distance by dog team, canoe and on foot. He left Fort Severn Ontario, and made it to Nanuk. From Nanuk he left on foot with two dogs. Steffen's last message was on August 14, 2025 and he said he would arrive at the York Factory National Historic Site in Northern Manitoba in 6 hours. He did not show up to York Factory NHS.

I will add more details as I can to this GoFundMe page, the priority was to get the page activated asap to ensure those that that can help had a way to.
