Help start a food cooperative storefront in Ridgewood, Queens that supports local community, local economy, local farmers, regenerative farming practices, and sustainable shopping.

Several old member-owners of the Bushwick Food Cooperative, and longtime/lifelong Ridgewood residents decided we needed to bring back a community-centered, high quality, sustainable food option in the area.

We are operating as a weekly buyers club right now, but we all really want a storefront! The buyers club model is fine for now, but fundraising is slow going to due limited profit potential (being 100% volunteer run with no permanent location+only two small weekly pickups windows means less overall volume of sales) and many interested people can't shop due to, again, small weekly pickup windows.

We ARE self-sustaining as a business, but only due to tireless volunteer labor. We have a small cohort of people who give their unpaid time every single week to this project. To actually get to the point where the people volunteering can step back a little to more reasonable weekly hours, and we can hire a couple managers and make WAY more sales, we need a storefront!
