Friends of Binfield School (FOBS) have been working with the school to put funding in place to install a new adventure trail for the kids at Binfield CE Primary School.
The old trail, which had been used and enjoyed by the children on a regular basis, had been deemed unsafe and was removed over February Half Term this year, and the whole school has been looking forward to the new 'Trim Trail' being installed over the upcoming Easter Holidays.
The school have been lucky to benefit from a Sports Premium grant, and FOBS were able to allocate another portion of money towards the cost to go ahead with the project. Unfortunately, once the old trail was removed, it came to light that additional work is required to make the foundation layer stable enough for the new trail.
As fundraising activity has been very restricted this year, and FOBS funds are now running very low, we have put together this special appeal to help us find the additional money needed for the trail, without putting at risk some of the activities the school rely on FOBS supporting for the following year (such as classroom resources, IT equipment, Sports and Christmas week).
Any donation you can make will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that will mean so much to our kids currently in school and more kids for years to come!
This appeal will run until 2nd April 2021.

Wow, we've smashed it!!! What an amazing response to this appeal for the Trim Trail - thank you to everyone who has donated!
As reported in the appeal launch, the FOBS committee had already voted to set aside £5,000 from the limited funds we had to get this project completed, before the extra costs were discovered. We will therefore leave this appeal open until 2nd April as previously mentioned, and any additional donations to the appeal will still go to paying for the Trail. We will then be able to put some of the previously ring-fenced funds back into the pot for other projects to support the school.
Once again, a HUGE thank you to you all for getting involved and making this happen for our children!
