Hi everyone, my name is Zay Rodriguez, and I’m an independent filmmaker passionate about telling grounded, emotional, and thrilling stories that audiences can feel, fear, and connect with. I’m currently in production for my next short horror film titled “The Locked Room”, and I’m incredibly excited — and humbled — to invite you to be part of this journey.

“The Locked Room” follows a group of friends renting a secluded Airbnb, where they discover a mysterious locked room that only opens when tension and conflict arise. Once anyone steps inside… their fate is sealed. Blending atmosphere, suspense, grief, and psychological tension, this film explores how pain and unresolved trauma can manifest into something truly terrifying.

This project means so much to me, not just as a storyteller, but as a creator committed to growing independent cinema, elevating new talent, and producing work that looks and feels truly cinematic — even on a small budget.
