Logline:
Three sisters are reunited by the news of their mother's death, and they take it upon themselves to manage their late mother's bookstore, which she left as an inheritance to her daughters.
Director’s Statement:
I, along with this crew, believe it is incredibly important to make sure a wide variety of stories are being told through film, a medium we collectively adore so deeply. The Little Wright Book Corner amplifies women’s stories and looks to convey the reality of sisterhood. Our film is working to prioritize a space where the stories of women’s relationships to other women, and not just women’s relationships to men, can live and breathe. The Little Wright Book Corner does just that, as the film follows the emotional journey of its three female protagonists.

Meet Our Crew!
Our film, The Little Wright Book Corner, is one of four films that industry professionals have selected to be a part of UCSB’s Film and Media Studies 106 course. Past FAMST 106 films have gone on to win prestigious awards and participate in esteemed film festivals, such as the College Television Awards and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. With your backing, we hope to make The Little Wright Book Corner a film that will go on to succeed beyond this UCSB film course.
Your financial support through this process makes a tremendous difference in the success and quality of our film. We do not receive any funding through the FAMST 106 course, and must raise the money required by our budget independently, with the help of family and friends like yourselves.
Budget:
Our budget for this film currently sits at $7,500. The money raised would go towards equipment, locations, production design, feeding our cast and crew, paying our talented actors, and more. We want to give each creative department the financial support to be able to bring the authentic and charming feel of our film to life. Your contribution gives us the financial platform to make this a high-quality film that can go on to succeed outside of this UCSB course.
We understand that not everyone may be able to donate at this moment, but you can still contribute in this fundraising stage by getting the word out and sharing this GoFundMe link to those you think may be interested in financially supporting The Little Wright Book Corner. If you’d like to keep tabs on our film throughout this process, you can follow our Instagram, @thelittlewrightbookcorner. Thank you!
