Help Fund the Huahine Middle School's Mosaic Mural!

I'm Ross Holzman, the founder and executive director of Create Peace Project, an arts education and peace promotion organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We lead large-scale mosaics and murals with entire student bodies of schools. We have completed more than 30 painted murals and 20 mosaics in the past 10 years.

We have been invited to lead a 400sqft mosaic mural project with the Huahine Middle School, in French Polynesia. The project will be happening in October and include 400 middle school students, teachers, staff, families, and community members of Fare, Huahine.

We are looking for support for this beautiful big project.

The crate of tile has arrived in Huahine! The municipality of Fare has received the crate and is storing it until our arrival in early October.

This project will take place over 4 weeks. First we will recreate the wall with paper and then transfer the design drawing to our full scale pice. The paper will then get mounted on plywood for the creation of our mosaic art work.

For two weeks we will facilitate the creation of the mosaic during our collaborative mosaic making workshops for all the students of the middle school. All students, staff and administration will have the opportunity to join us. More than likely we will host a community day for families to come out and join in the fun of making this mosaic.
