Fund “The Disappeared” A Political Art Installation Demanding Justice for the Vanished
An evolving public art project using protest, portraiture, and visual memory to expose ICE disappearances and resist the rise of fascism in the U.S.
---
✊ THE PROJECT
The Disappeared is a growing, traveling political art installation that refuses to let the victims of ICE vanish without a trace.
Through large-scale photographic banners, poster installations, and public interventions, this project confronts the U.S. government’s use of detention, deportation, and disappearance as tools of state violence.
Each face in this project is someone who has been detained, deported, or disappeared.
Each image says: They were here. We remember. We resist.
---
WHY IT MATTERS
In 2025, we are witnessing the escalation of fascist strategies:
Over 56,000 people currently held in ICE detention
More than 207,000 deportations reported by mid-year
Countless people taken without due process, legal representation, or public accountability
Black-site detention centers operating in secrecy on U.S. soil
These are not numbers. These are families, neighbors, workers, and friends.
They were disappeared — and the system counts on our silence.
