Because no child should die for being born different.

In parts of Africa, being born with albinism can be a death sentence.

Not because of disease.

Not because of weakness.

But because of superstition, myths, and fear.

Many children and adults with albinism are hunted, mutilated, or killed—seen as “ghosts,” “cursed,” or as having magical powers. Their limbs are sold in witchcraft rituals. Families are ostracized. Schools reject them. Communities turn away.

This is not folklore. This is reality.

And it’s happening now.

This campaign, #IAMMELANIN, is a global movement to:

Raise awareness of the injustices faced by people with albinism.

Advocate for their safety, rights, and dignity.

Fund educational programs, mentorship

Inspiring with creative industry projects, like the Animation Movie Demo with Black and Albino Hero.

Organize worldwide demonstrations and outreach in solidarity.

For millions of people born with albinism, especially in Africa, life is not only about beauty—it’s about survival, courage, and visibility.

That’s why we created Melanin—the first #Black #albino #superheroine. She is Black. She is albino. She is magical. She is real.

Why This Campaign Matters

Every day, people with albinism, especially in parts of Africa, face deadly violence, mutilation, and exclusion because of superstitions, misinformation, and systemic racism.

In some countries, they are hunted for their body parts—seen as “magical.” In many others, they live invisible lives, denied opportunities in school, work, and society. Their stories are untold. Their beauty is ignored.

It’s time to change that.

What We’re Creating

A Global Advocacy Campaign: #IAmMelanin

This is a worldwide movement to raise awareness about albinism, racial injustice, and inclusion through storytelling and cultural change. By amplifying real voices, celebrating difference, and shifting narratives, we can create global solidarity and protection for lives too long ignored.

A Comic Book: Melanin – A Dreamer from the Fifth Shout Neighborhood

A powerful illustrated novel based on the book by Tania Tomé, telling the story of a Black, albino girl who rises above rejection to become a unifying force. A modern tale of resilience, courage, and identity.

A 2-Minute Animated Demo

The first Albino protagonist in international animation—crafted to pitch to major studios like Netflix and Disney, shared in global festivals, and used to launch the feature film. The visual, emotional impact starts here.

To secure full film production funding, we need a 2-minute animated demo + comic book to:

1. Create a compelling pitch deck for major investors, Netflix, Disney, and studios.

2. Showcase at global film festivals and comic cons to reach a global audience.

3. Build a fanbase and prove this project’s commercial potential as an educational resource and a tool for social change.
