Support the Lancers: Honoring Vietnam Veterans with their First Reunion
Over 50 years ago, the brave men of Company B, 158th Assault Helicopter Battalion—known as the Lancers—served with distinction in the Vietnam War as part of the 101st Airborne Division (Airmobile). From 1969 to 1971, they participated in every major operation in Vietnam’s I Corps region, earning numerous military honors, including two Presidential Unit Citations. Tragically, 24 of their brothers made the ultimate sacrifice and are memorialized on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.
This June 12–15, 2025, the surviving Lancers will reunite for the first time in over five decades at the Hope Hotel near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. This reunion is more than a gathering—it’s a long-overdue opportunity for these veterans to reconnect, heal, and honor their fallen comrades.
I am the proud daughter of Chief Warrant Officer 2 William (Bill) E. Walker, who served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971 and is organizing this reunion. All funds raised will be delivered through him to the Lancers Association, a 501(c)(1) nonprofit organization, to help fund this reunion event.
We are seeking donations to help offset the costs of this meaningful event and ensure that all Lancer veterans and their families can attend, regardless of financial means. Your support will help cover travel, lodging, meals, and event expenses, making this reunion possible for those who gave so much in service to our country.
Please consider contributing to this special cause. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring these heroes together once more.
