That Kinda Girl
That Kinda Girl is a 6-song EP that tells the story of my first year of life as an openly trans woman.
It’s a year that changed everything.
These songs follow the arc of becoming, stepping into joy, learning confidence, falling in love for the first time as myself, feeling the sting of heartbreak, and sitting with the sadness and self-doubt that still showed up along the way. It’s not a tragedy. It’s not a victory lap either. It’s a real, human story, told through glittery pop hooks and honest lyrics.
Sonically, this EP lives where Y2K pop meets 80’s sparkle, polished, bold, and unapologetically fun. Think big melodies, glossy production, and songs that make you want to dance and feel at the same time. Artists like Zara Larsson, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, and Kim Petras helped shape the world this EP lives in, but That Kinda Girl is my most distinct sound yet, confident, feminine, and fully my own.
Why This EP Matters
Trans stories are often flattened into headlines, debates, or trauma. I wanted to make something different.
This EP exists to humanize the trans experience, to show the joy, the excitement, the fear, the softness, the confidence, and the doubt. To let listeners connect not just to “a trans story,” but to a person. Someone navigating love, heartbreak, self-discovery, and growth in a way that’s deeply relatable, even if the journey looks different from their own.
If you’ve ever reinvented yourself.
If you’ve ever fallen hard and had to rebuild.
If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and slowly learned to love who you saw.
This music is for you.
Why I’m Asking for Your Support
I’m making That Kinda Girl because authentic trans stories deserve to be told. I want to share my experience first hand. I want people to see me in my truest, most honest form.
Your support will go directly toward bringing this EP to life in the way it deserves: production, mixing and mastering, visuals, and releasing the music into the world so it can reach the people who need it.
What You’re Really Supporting
When you back this campaign, you’re not just helping fund an EP.
You’re supporting a growing artist who’s ready to use her platform to help others feel seen.
You’re helping push queer art forward, especially joyful, pop-forward trans art that doesn’t apologize for existing.
You’re choosing to believe that these stories matter, and that independent artists deserve the resources to tell them well.
That Kinda Girl is a love letter to becoming yourself, loudly, softly, imperfectly, and honestly.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for listening. And thank you for helping me share this chapter of my life with the world. ✨
