Help Fund T-Bone's Jaw Surgery
Donation protected
Last Friday night, I was outside taking out the trash when I heard a loud yelp from our back porch. I rushed over to find T-Bone crumpled on the concrete stairs before then making her way into the kitchen where I saw a small pool of blood pour from her mouth. Her canine tooth visibly protruding out to the side.
T-Bone is a 2yr old, very active, very playful dog and she especially loves to play with her red ball whether it be us throwing it for her, chewing it, rolling it to us with the push of her nose, or just her running around wild with it, she brings it everywhere. Since we found the ball laying besides the stairs, what we assume happened was she was excited and running way too fast, fast enough to leave gashes in concrete, when she misjudged her jump up the stairs and bashed her jaw into it. It's a miracle to us she didn't break her neck.
We rushed her to the emergency vet the same night to hopefully prevent further damage and figure out how severe it was. Unfortunately, they told us they couldn’t help her there other than give pain medication and antibiotics and referred us to a veterinary dental specialist in a different state neighboring us. When we called, they said the earliest they could see her would be the 27th, Tuesday, due to being booked up and Memorial Day weekend.
Just from reviewing photos, they estimated the cost would be from $2,000 to $4000, dependent with how fractured her jaw may be, if the root of her canine is damaged, etc. Once we know the exact price the fundraiser goal will be changed accordingly and updates will be made consistently in any change in regard to T-Bone's situation.
This costly incident just happened so suddenly, and caught us at a tough time. This'll prove to be a struggle financially, but we absolutely love her and are willing to do everything we can to cover these expenses, this being one of them.
Anything at all helps, no matter how much this fundraiser gets, it's still something and we will greatly appreciate even the smallest of donations. All funds raised will go directly towards paying off T-Bone's Vet expenses.
Thank you for taking the time to read, share or consider donating to help T-Bone get back to doing the things she loves!
(Below is proof of the first vet visit we had at the emergency hospital. Further proof will be given of the major vet bill when provided.)
