Help Fund Snoopy's Surgery
Donation protected
Snoopy has been my best friend since I adopted her from a shelter at 3 months old in 2014. She is a sweet, happy pup who is always ready for an adventure, some snuggles or a snack.
On Monday June 5th, Snoopy went to the Weare Animal Hospital as she was very unwell. It was confirmed that she had Pyometra, a uterus infection.
The veterinarian strongly recommended doing emergency surgery that night. Their first surgery availability was for Friday, and the veterinarian made it clear that Snoopy would likely not survive that long. If the infected "balloons" in her uterus popped, she would have died very quickly.
Snoopy was admitted to the Rockingham Emergency Animal Hospital that evening, and surgery was successful!
Snoopy is recovering very well. She was able to come home the following day, sore and sleepy. She has since perked back up to her normal happy demeanor, and looks forward to her exercise restrictions being lifted next week so she can chase the ball again.
Snoopy is 9 years old, but still has a great quality of life and is full of puppy energy, so doing the surgery was 100% the right choice. She is adored by many, including the two little girls who love their doggy.
The surgery was a huge financial hit, but worth it for the extra time with Snoopy. Several people have asked about ways to help, so it seemed easiest to put all of this information in one place.
Donations towards her medical bills, Snoopy treats, sharing this link, or just sending healthy Snoopy vibes into the universe are all helpful. ❤️
The Weare Animal Hospital bill was $350, after a check-up, Ultrasound, and chest X-ray to diagnose and prepare for emergency surgery.
The Rockingham Animal Hospital bill came to $4,891.33.
Thank you to everyone who has asked and cares about Snoopy! Healthy Snoopy vibes!
