Hi! My name is Skye. I am a 25-year-old artist and nanny from Brooklyn, new york.

In 2020 I received an artist fellowship from https://vermontstudiocenter.org/; I will finally be attending on the 20th of this month!

 

Due to working freelance and factors out of my control, I have not had a steady income since February 1st, 2022. Because of this, I have not been able to save up for the art materials I will need for my residency, along with my basic needs. I'm asking for help to focus on my art for the duration of the three-week program and not have to limit myself due to a lack of materials and financial stress.

 

$1,000 will go toward April bills:

-Rent and utilities

-Car insurance

-Prescription medicine

 

The rest will go towards art supplies (metal rod and sheet, concrete, concrete lathe, fabrics, wood, paint etc.), gas, at-home covid tests, snacks, packing materials, and $100 will be set aside for masks, hand sanitizer and emergencies.

 

If you gift $25 or over, I will send you a piece of art and a thank you letter after I get back mid-April.
