Help fund Simon's journey with Thesis Percussion!
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Simon Sollestre. I am a snare drummer based out of San Jose, CA and I’m aspiring to perform with an independent indoor percussion group this winter season. These groups perform within a circuit known as Winter Guard International (WGI) that consists of members from all around the country that spend months putting together and perfecting a performance of both intricate music and elegant visuals. Come the end of April, these groups convene in Dayton, OH to duke it out in competition at the WGI Percussion World Championships. After this recent audition season, I was offered a contract to march with Thesis Percussion!
Thesis Percussion is based out of the Bay Area, CA and performs at the highest level of WGI, the Independent World Class. I’ve been an active member of the marching arts within the Bay Area for years now but I have finally achieved my dream to test my limits and perform at the highest level. Unfortunately, with the acceptance of this contract comes a financial obligation of tuition fees. I am asking for your help to assist me in fulfilling these fees. This activity hasn’t gotten any cheaper and with rising costs, these fees can become quite expensive. I am currently studying at San Jose State University, majoring in Forensic Biology, so along with payments for school and tuition fees for this program, I can use all the financial help I can get. Your donation would help fund the use of equipment, travel to local competitions and also out to World Championships, costuming, and general tuition fees. Thank you so much for helping support my dream and even if you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family would be much appreciated!
