Hi! We are Heat Death Productions, and we are raising funds for Promotion, a new short horror comedy film made by SAE Film students. We are a crew of nine students, all completing our Bachelor of Film Production.

Maya has the conventional job of working at a video game store, with the unconventional life of a vampire’s familiar.

Maya asks her boss Vlad once again for that big promotion, just to be disappointed in the same answer: “prove your dedication”. Maya’s tasks get interrupted by Adam, an oddly excitable man that claims he is from a ghost-hunting YouTube channel, and finally has a lead on the local occult scene. As Adam asks question after question, Maya realises that he may not be telling the whole truth - making things difficult for Maya, who has to stall until her boss gets there.
