Help fund Sherwin’s Unexpected Brain Surgery

Sherwin’s Story:

For those of you who have been wondering, Sherwin has been sick for almost 2 weeks now. It started out just like another flu virus, but steadily became worse and one day he complained of his left hand feeling slightly numb. Just forty-eight hours later he lost complete function in his hand and wrist. This past Monday Crystal took Sherwin to see their family doctor, he said he most likely has a pinched nerve called a ulner palsy and it would just take a while for the nerve to wake up to regain function. The doctor gave him several prescriptions to help wake the nerve and to help with the virus. By Wednesday he was still able to function by himself, but his entire body was getting extremely weak and by Thursday he was no longer able to function on his own. After several days of needing full care he started to become slightly confused - so Saturday around midnight they loaded him up and took him to the ER. After several catscans and MRI'S they found out that he actually had 10 abscesses on his brain and needed emergency brain surgery. The surgery took place Sunday afternoon and was successful. They only removed the biggest one that was affecting his motor skills because the rest are too dangerous to remove. They are hoping with antibiotics the remaining 9 will be treatable. He is now out of surgery and is talking better than before. (PRAISE THE LORD!)

A letter from his wife Crystal:

To all of you who took time to pray and spread the word I thank you from the bottom of my heart, he is still not out of the woods yet but we serve a mighty God and he is well on his way. Sherwin is a fighter!

How your funds will help the Beachy family:

With the unexpected doctor and hospital visits, endless tests, and emergency brain surgery - your donations will help cover these medical expenses.

Sherwin recently went full time with running his own mechanic business, and with that came a change in insurance. So they are unsure of what exactly will/will not be covered at this point!

Up until this point Crystal has been a stay at home mom for their two little boys Liam (7) and Theo (2). Your funds will also help support the family to keep up with daily expenses so Crystal can focus on caring for Sherwin and the boys without having to worry about an income!

Unable to support financially?

You can still support the family through prayer and words of encouragement! Crystal and Sherwin appreciate all the texts coming their way!
