Hello, My name is Janell and I am a student at Woodbury University in Burbank, CA. I am an upcoming student filmmaker. I graduated from Long Beach City College with an associate's degree in Television Performance, I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in filmmaking. I reside in Long Beach and commute to Woodbury daily while working on the weekends in Long Beach. I need financial assistance with my film in order to graduate and continue making films. What is Trey and Kenya Rob A Sub shop about? Well, it's about two young adults who are in a situationship and they decide to rob a local sub shop in order to help their financial needs, but one of the robbers knows the victim of the shop and things get interesting. This story I wrote is a reflection of my life working in a sub shop and dealing with a fictional situation that I have always thought about, especially during the pandemic. It was a rough time trying to get by and I wanted to shed light on workers like myself. Here's what I am funding for specifically. I need a decent meal for my crew, they are the best group of hardworking students you could ask for. I need money for permits for my location and to book the location for a local mom-and-pop shop. I need to fund a pickup equipment truck and also for props on amazon that will definitely come in handy. Any donation helps, I would really appreciate the support. This is my first thesis shoot for me and I am so excited to share it with all of the donators. All donators will be credited in the film and will receive a thank you gift from me. All donators will have access to a copy of the behind-the-scenes footage and a signed t-shirt from the cast and crew. Thank you so much for your time! - Love, Janell!
