I’m Cycling 212 Miles to Get to Kenya!
Hi, I’m Charlie, I’m 13 years old and this summer I’m taking on a massive challenge — I’m going to ride my bike 212 miles across the UK in just one week to raise money for an amazing opportunity I’ve been given!

In 2027, I’m going on a 4-week expedition to Kenya with Camps International. I’ll be working with rural communities on really important projects to help improve everyday life for people who live there.
Why I Need Your Help
I need to raise the money myself — that’s why I’ve set up this GoFundMe and why I’m doing this coast-to-coast cycling challenge. It won’t be easy, but I’m determined to do it because the experience in Kenya will be life-changing, both for me and the people I get to help.
What I’ll Be Doing in Kenya:
- Helping local builders to build or fix homes for families
- Building fences to protect animals from elephants
- Making paper from elephant dung (yes, really!)
- Planting trees and helping with wildlife projects
- Supporting schools and learning from local children
- Working with women’s groups to help them to support their families
Just for Fun:
- 1-day safari
- 4 days of scuba diving to earn my PADI Open Water certificate
- Learning to cook local meals
- Practicing Swahili!
What I’ll Learn:
I’ll learn about life in other parts of the world, about the challenges people face every day, and what I can do to help. I’ll also learn loads of new skills — like project work, craft and building skills, how to be more independent, and even how to cook Kenyan food.
I also hope to makes friends in the process!
Please Sponsor Me
If you can help by sponsoring me — even a small amount — it would mean so much, however big or small!
Thank you so much for reading and supporting me on this journey!
