Help Fund Sage's Thesis Film!

Hi! My name is Sage, and I am a student filmmaker in my last semester at The New School. I'm currently in pre production for my thesis film "casual". My dream for this project has always been to shoot on 16mm film, but unfortunately this is an expensive dream. As a filmmaker, I've mixed media in all my projects but have never had the chance to work completely on film. This would be an amazing way to finish my college experience as I believe working analog is central to my identity as a filmmaker.

About the Project:

CASUAL is a short film about two friends both fresh out of relationships, exploring what it means to casually see each other in an effort to break serial dating patterns and the stereotype of fast lesbian monogamy.

I am extremely excited to be making this film alongside a crew of all women and queer people!

Absolutely anything helps! I would be extremely grateful for any support. If I don't reach the total goal to shoot on film, all donations will go towards props and feeding our cast and crew.
