Hello everyone! My name is Riley Early, I am a senior Filmmaking BFA at Hofstra University and working on my Senior Thesis Film.
The film follows Liz as she goes to her Grandmother's service and learns the ways in which grief affects not only those around her, but herself.
This story is deeply personal to me and I hope that through sharing it, it will resonate with those who watch it. My Grandmother passed away just over a year ago and at the time, I had only told two people within my close circle. By making this film, I wanted to dissect the complexities of grief– in theory and in practice. It’s really a story about us: how my sister and I have found ourselves in the loss of our grandmother and how our grief cannot be processed alone.
Grief is not linear, but neither is life: As simple as it may sound, you only truly come to terms with it after facing loss and connecting with those around you.
Funds we raise will go to:
Casting and Talent: Finding and properly compensating the cast and ensuring they have everything they need.
Production Costs: Covering locations, costumes, food, and props to enhance the story and immerse the viewers.
Soundtrack & Post-Production: Ensuring every scene hits the emotional and thrilling beats we’re aiming for.
Festival Run: Paying for submission fees for any/all submission costs.
Everyone who donates will have their name featured in the credits!
I would greatly appreciate any/all donations and thank you for your contributions to the making of this film:)
