In late 2019 I began production on a follow-up album to my earlier release, “Bird on the Wire-Songs of Leonard Cohen.”

I had just returned from touring “House of Cohen” throughout Europe with a group of phenomenal musicians from Barcelona and went straight into a studio while the music was fresh. The results–if I do say myself–were magical. Cohen with a flamenco flair.

Not long after, Covid put a hard stop to everything.

Cut to April 2023...I make a terrifying discovery. Sometime during the dark days of the shutdown, all the individual instrument tracks were lost in a computer crash. Compared to what others lost due to Covid, I was lucky.

So it’s back to the drawing board –or more accurately back to the mixing board– and now I am ready to begin re-recording Leo’s awe-inspiring songs once more (plus an original song about my special relationship with LC)

Funds will be used to pay musicians, book studio time, mix, master, and help cover the expected and unexpected costs associated with releasing and promoting an independent music project.

I cannot wait to share these songs...
