Help Fund Paul Stevens' Final Farewell

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Marji (Stevens) Hall. My brother Johnny, and sister Sue and I are raising money for our brother, Paul Stevens, who passed away on January 5, 2025, from pulmonary fibrosis. We became aware of Paul's health issues in the summer of 2022 when he was rushed to Mission Hospital in Laguna Beach due to shortness of breath. The next couple of years were hard on Paul but family and friends came together and made memories with him to make things just a little bit easier.

Paul was born with cerebral palsy, but it never held him back or determined his future. He grew up in Tucson, AZ where he enjoyed managing the high school sports teams and hanging out with family and friends. Paul came to California in the early 80s to live with me and quickly graduated from Project Indepence where he learned how to make an impact at work and live on his own. Prior to his illness, Paul was a healthy, hardworking person who spent his whole life at a variety of jobs, which included 10+ years at Ralph's in Laguna Beach and 6-8 years, at Home Depot in Laguna Hills. On his days off, he liked to drop in and visit the staff of his favorite Laguna Beach restaurants: The White House, Javier's, the old Marine Room, Asada, and Tommy Bahama. Possibly the most important thing to know about Paul was his love for The University of Arizona Wildcats as he would almost always be seen wearing a T-shirt or sweatshirt from his favorite team.

Many people have reached out and asked what we need or how they can help. In the last 2 years, Paul had 3 extensive hospital stays and 2 different stays in a rehabilitation facility. He was also living in a 24-hour assisted care home. Paul was a saver and had a savings account, but when you have these kinds of medical expenses, the money quickly runs out. The money that is raised through this site will go to end of life expenses.
