Hi! I am feeling a tad overwhelmed with the magnitude of this idea, but I am also SO determined and passionate about motherhood. If you have a mom, want to be a mom, you are a mom or you know a mom then will you please consider supporting this app?

The first year for a mom is SO TOUGH and SCARY! Even with all the books, forums, social media sites and YouTube videos, moms still can feel alone and overwhelmed. Not only are there so many different opinions and parenting styles, but the pediatric medical world is always changing! This app will provide a safe place for moms anywhere in the United States (English and Spanish language) to receive immediate, 24/7 one on one support/advice from an experienced nurse mom.

I wanted to could fund this entire idea myself, but I need your help. I have been selling anything that I’m not using, doing medical transcription at night and I took out a HELOC to get this started. I am all in and I believe we can make this happen.

This world is so tough and so full of hard things. There is a lot of sadness. I have prayed for a few years that God would give me an idea for something that could MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND possibly CHANGE LIVES. I wasn’t sure exactly what that would look like until 2023. I experienced 2 life changing moments and I knew what my purpose was and a fire was lit!

Experience #1- My younger sister had her first baby. She has always had a natural gift with kids and she has a lot of experience with babies. In those first few months, she still felt overwhelmed, unsure of her ability to be a good mom, and she needed reassurance that she was following the best feeding schedule, best sleeping schedule while also tracking every pee and poop and milestone. She also was very concerned anytime he cried more than usual, had a rash, runny nose, inconsistent poops, etc. As a new mom everything is a possible critical situation and it falls on the mom to determine if a doctor's call/visit or ER visit is warranted. It's even scarier if your baby has an issue in the middle of the night!

Experience #2- One of the women in my small group had been struggling for years to conceive. She wanted to be a mom so bad and via IVF she finally got her wish and was pregnant with twins. In early 2023 she gave birth to 2 beautiful and healthy girls. I remember visiting the hospital and she and her husband (and parents!) were glowing. There was so much love and happiness in that room. About 7-8 weeks after she had brought her girls home, I got a call that she had taken her life. She left a note sharing that she didn't believe she could be the mom her girls needed. Noone knew she was struggling with such severe postpartum depression.

Phase 1 of the app will target support for moms during their first year of motherhood. Future phases will target support for moms going through IVF and pregnancy challenges, support for moms that have special needs babies, support for single moms and support for moms in domestic violence situations.

We need $13,000 to get started with Part I- Branding & Visuals, Presentation Deck, Clickable Prototype and Focus Groups Discovery. All of the funds received will go towards the creation and launch of the app. We have an incredible vendor selected and they are estimating $200,000-$225,000 to bring this app to life. If we can reach at least $150,000 by May 2024, then we can start Part II- Concept Testing and Design in June. The tentative launch would be in December if we can stay on schedule with payments for each completed part.

This app will not only provide much needed support for new moms but it will also create many jobs for the experienced moms giving the support and advice!

Would you or your business consider donating to this fundraiser? Your donation will be tax deductible. In December, we will email each of you a tax receipt from our charitable foundation (legal filing in process). You will be listed on the completed app as a Supporter and we will be updating you regularly with logo selections, mock ups, app features, etc. You are a vital part of making this happen and we want you to be there with us as we create this app.

If you cannot donate, would you consider sharing this GoFundMe link with your friends? We also would appreciate your prayers as we try to get this off the ground.

You can also donate on Venmo (@atlantahealthsystems) or you can mail a check (email me for the mailing address) if your business prefers this method.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!
