Hi! My name is Lily Maguire and I am the Writer/Director of the student short film Doors! This project is being created as my Senior Capstone Project for my time in undergrad at Wheaton College MA. It is simultaneously my last film project for school, and the first film project for my career as a filmmaker.

Doors is a student short film adapted from an original long-form poetry piece of the same name. It is a relationship story about guilt and complacency, and explores themes like stale love and uncertainty through the eyes of Clary, who uses poetry as a way into a prettier and more poetic life. After Clary and her boyfriend, Bran, break up, Clary faces an internal battle of whether this is a relationship worth fighting for.

It's a story about trying to trust oneself.

I am fundraising for this film because I am a student. Using my college's resources and the talents of my peers, Doors is a purely student-made short film. We need money to provide food and drinks for our cast and crew for the entire 3.5 day shoot. We are also looking to pay for original music being made for the film, and renting some outside gear that our school does not have for use.
