Help Fund Our Independent Student Film on Healthcare Bias

We're a group of UC Denver filmmaking students raising money to help fund our independent student film, "Banana Phone." Our goal with this film is to shed light on the discrimination experienced by women of color during medical emergencies, and the very real consequences of misogyny and racism in healthcare. Our production is led entirely by women of color and is based on a true story experienced by a friend of our writer / director, Saroja Manickam. We believe this is an important and urgent issue that is often overlooked, and we feel very passionately about the message behind our story.
