After three years of lending hands to each other’s projects from behind the scenes, Thomas and I are proposing our first co-curated exhibition as a way to say thank you and goodbye to the city that holds the beginnings of both our practices.

Though we have often collaborated informally — through installs, shared research, the passing of ideas across the kitchen table — forever entangled in a quiet dialogue between studio and gallery — this self-funded exhibition marks the first time we bring our shared language to light.

Our curatorial proposal echoes our very departure: a residue of all that’s passed, and all that’s still unfolding.

The exhibition will take place at Greatorex Street Project Space from 18th–23rd June. All donations will go directly toward supporting the participating artists, covering material, production and hire costs.

Exhibition Information:

“After Fact” is a meditation on residue, on what’s left over when an event has passed, the resistance to being forgotten—the marks, memories, and moments that last – the Punctums. The exhibition gathers four artists, Nico Tovar, George Miller, Max Morey-Burrows, and Derrelle Elijah. Their works function as documentation of this natural process, not through resolution but through erasure, repetition, and rupture. Remnants of time and history, so often drowned in infoxication are re-imagined, ironically pulling us towards resisting a singular reading. This is not a show of finished statements, but of distant memories made visible. These are contemporary archives—not static repositories, but charged terrains where the personal and cultural, the mundane and monumental, collapse into something that flickers between memory and myth.

Curators Information:

Thomas Brewin is a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose work contemplates the structures that shape our relationship with art. His body of work reflects the contemporary viewing experience, progressively building a nuanced point of view on the history and tradition of the white cube. A Fine Art graduate of London Metropolitan University (with Honours), Brewin frequently engages in both artistic and curatorial roles.

Roxane Hemard is a London-based curator and researcher. She is currently Associate Director/Gallery Manager at Kearsey & Gold Gallery, where she oversees exhibitions. Roxane earned her BA in Sarah Lawrence College in New York, followed by an MA in Italian Renaissance Painting from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. She has worked across galleries in New York, Paris, and London, including Sotheby’s and TEFAF Maastricht.
