Help Fund Oliver Parrish’s Surgery
Oliver, his parents, Justin and Alexa and his big sister Nora are a young, happy family who are dealing with a tremendous amount of stress and fear related to his recent medical diagnosis and upcoming surgical treatment. The goal of this unexpected medical intervention is to help him grow up to be healthy and to develop normally, as Oliver’s doctors diagnosed him with Pan Suture Craniosynostosis at just 19 months old.
Craniosynostosis is the early growing together (or fusion) of two or more bones of the skull. A newborn's skull is made up of many separate bones that are not yet fused together. Because the brain grows quickly in the first two years of life, it is important that the skull bones remain open. In fact, complete fusion of the bones normally occurs late in the teen years. Synostosis interferes with normal growth of the brain and skull, and in Oliver’s case is causing pressure in his eyes and issues with his spinal cord.
This family is already managing the effects of a life long chronic condition that is both debilitating and financially straining.
Any funds donated will be used to pay the nearly ten thousand dollar deductible the family will incur for his pending surgery as well as bills related to medication, extended hospital stays and other post-surgical treatment needs.
Please consider donating, no amount is too small, and will be greatly appreciated by Oliver and everyone who loves him.
