Hi, I’m Zach, and I’m raising money to cover the costs of FTM top surgery at Reformkliniken in Malmö, Sweden.

This is a procedure I’ve been working toward for a long time. Like many trans people in the UK, I’ve faced long NHS waitlists and a lot of uncertainty around accessing timely and affirming care. After researching my options, I’ve decided to move forward with surgery privately at Reformkliniken — a clinic known for its experience with trans patients.

Top surgery is about finally being able to live as myself, without the daily mental strain and discomfort that comes from gender dysphoria. This is a medical step that will significantly improve my quality of life.

Since I’ll need to stay in Sweden for about a month to recover, I’m bringing a close friend with me to help out during the early stages of healing. I won’t be able to manage things like cooking, cleaning, or getting around right away, so having someone there for support is essential. This is why the cost of flights is for two people.

The total cost for everything — the procedure, travel, accommodation, and essentials — comes to £8,207. Here’s the breakdown:
