Hi! My name is Xander Eaton, I'm an 18 year old film student at NYU, and I'm raising funds in order to produce a short film this spring called Psychic Interference. It's about a lonely girl named Maya who talks to ghosts, trying to navigate college and start making some friends who aren't dead people, all the while the universe seems to be throwing all its spiritual attacks her way through an astrological retrograde. The film will blend a coming-of-age drama with surrealist horror as Maya moves between the real world and the "spirit realm," and will be filled to the brim with bright colors, abstract set design, and neon lights.

I'm very proud of these films but I'm incredibly excited to create something with far greater production value and more professional standards, especially with the resources and talent available to me now as an NYU student and being located in NYC as opposed to Alaska.

However, in order to make the kind of film I'm hoping this project can be, I need your help to fund things like equipment rentals, location fees, transportation, and more. If you'd like a more detailed breakdown of my budget,

this is my rough plan. It's very flexible, so even if I don't reach my goal, the film will be made with whatever resources I can acquire. I'm planning on funding as much as I can with my own money, but my savings account as a college student is rather limited, which is why I've started this fundraiser.
