This fall, I’ll be studying abroad at Kwansei Gakuin University in Nishinomiya, Japan, an opportunity I’ve dreamed of since middle school. I first became interested in Japanese culture when I started learning more about their culinary traditions. Over the past three years, I’ve studied the language and culture at UNL, and while abroad, I’ll be completing my minor in Japanese Studies. I’ve been supporting myself throughout college by working two part-time jobs; however, I won’t be able to work while in Japan.
