Help Fund my Journey to the 2024 IWF World Cup

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to reach out for some urgent help❤️

For those who don't know me yet, my name is Shania Bedward, and I am an an athlete in the sport of Weightlifting and part of Team Canada. I am currently training for the upcoming World Cup in Thailand next month, which will determine which athletes will be going to the 2024 Olympic Games this summer. I've gone to all the competitions that you need to do to make it this far in the process, and now I just need to put it all together in training with the time I have left, and put up the big numbers on the platform that will get me to Paris!

The road ahead of me is clear, have my best performance so far, make it into the Top 10 in the world, and I'll be there. I've made it into the Top 10 at World Championships twice, and now it's time for a different Top 10!

My journey in this sport only began a few years ago in 2020. At that time I'd never touched a barbell if you can believe it! I've done a lot in the sport in a short time, and it's only motivated me to do even more. The quad hasn't been easy, there have been a ton of competitions, personal challenges of every kind, and I've still got to where I am.

I've fought to hit new PR's training by myself some days at home. I've lifted with great people in Ottawa and Toronto, and put in work with a great team in California. I've enjoyed every second of it, pursuing my dream, and learning to push myself regardless of the situation. I think I have a chance to make it to the Paris 2024 Olympics and I will shoot my shot!

As always, I pour my heart and soul into anything I do. There's a fire burning inside me, I want to show the world what I'm capable of, but I'll need your help to make it a reality! Every bit of support is helpful, no matter the amount. The funds will go 100% towards the essentials, things like flights to and from training camp and the competition, my hotel stay at the competition, competition fees, food, massage and physio, supplements and coaching.
