Hi, my name is Kat, and I’m a 17-year-old girl with a dream of owning a 1991 MX-5 NA Miata! Lately, Miata prices have been steadily going up, and finding one that’s in good condition has become much more challenging.

My dad has set some strict rules for me when it comes to buying my first car. He won’t let me get anything with rust or any mechanical issues, which means I need to find a Miata that's in perfect condition — not just one that looks good on the outside, but also one that's reliable because I know this car will be with me for years to come. This makes it really difficult because the cars that fit his criteria tend to be way out of the budget he has set for me.
