Help Fund My Emergency Ruptured Cyst Surgery

Hi, my name is Teresa Anderson, and this is my story.
On May 15th, 2025, I took a pregnancy test in the morning. I had a feeling for weeks we were about to have our third child (first is an angel baby, second is our 2.5yo son). My suspicions were correct! I had a faint line on the pregnancy test, so I quickly calculated and found I was 4w2d gestation. Elated, I contacted my close friend first, then my midwife. About two hours after discovering I was pregnant, while setting up an appointment with my midwife, I started having severe abdominal pain. It immediately brought back memories of my first miscarriage. I tried waiting about 10 minutes for the pain to calm down a little, like it did with my first baby, but it was constant. Concerned for the worst, I called my husband, Drake, to come home from work, and my mom to come watch Gregory, our son. As soon as my husband showed up we headed to the ER. I knew this pain was abnormal.
At the ER, after being administered pain meds and anti-nausea meds, they informed us of what we knew deep down. I had a severe ectopic rupture and major internal bleeding.
They put me at the top priority for surgery for the OBGYN. During the surgery, they discovered that I had an ovarian ectopic pregnancy with a ruptured ovarian cyst. They were able to save most of my right ovary. They took good care of me post-op, and I was able to be released from the hospital on the 17th of May.
However, because the timing happened just before I was set to receive health insurance, this entire emergency was uninsured. We’re now facing a $35,000 medical bill, which we’ve been told needs to be paid within the year. As a one-income household, that's simply beyond what we can handle, especially while continuing to care for Gregory and maintain our home.
We’re doing everything we can to bring the bill down:
applying for financial aid,
exploring loan options,
and cutting expenses —
but we’ve realized we still need to ask for help to bridge the gap.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply send some encouragement our way, it would mean the world to us. Every little bit helps, and we’re so grateful to be surrounded by people who care. Just 1000 people donating $35 would cover our bill.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting us in this tough chapter.
With love and gratitude,
Teresa, Drake, and Gregory Anderson
