Help Fund My Education in New York City
Donation protected
Dear Community,
I’ve been accepted into an exchange program to study at one of my dream universities in New York City! This is such a huge deal for me, both personally and academically. It’s a chance to grow, connect with communities I’ve always admired, and take a big step toward my career goals.
But as exciting as this is, I’m also facing a tough challenge. I need $8,000 to cover living expenses while I’m in New York, but things haven’t gone as planned. I’ve always supported myself—working to pay for my studies and living expenses in Germany—but just recently, my job suddenly ended. My employer terminated my contract without warning, giving all my shifts to someone else. It wasn’t fair or legal, but unfortunately, it’s left me in a really difficult spot.
I was counting on those earnings to help fund this opportunity, and now I’m running out of time to find another way. As a student on a visa, I won’t be able to work while I’m in New York, which makes it even harder to save up what I need before I leave.
As a Tunisian immigrant, I've come a long way, and this program means the world to me—it’s been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I’ve always found a way to make things work, but this time, I need a little help. I’m reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who believes in education and doing your thing.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount would make a big difference. If you can’t donate, I’d be so grateful if you could share my story with others who might want to help.
Thank you so much for reading this and for supporting me in any way you can. It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but knowing I have a community of amazing people behind me makes all the difference.
With love and gratitude,
