From Small-Town Canada to Broadway: Help Me Shine in NYC

Hi everyone, it’s Talya!

I’m a young actress and singer from Trois-Rivières, deeply passionate about the world of performing arts.

After years of dreaming, working hard, and developing my voice, I finally received the news that changed my life:

I’ve been accepted to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) — one of the most prestigious musical theatre schools in the world, right in the heart of New York City.

Out of thousands of applicants from across the globe, I, a young artist from Trois-Rivières, was chosen.

But that’s not all.

AMDA awarded me the highest scholarship the school offers: $20,000 USD per year.

This kind of recognition is given only to artists whose talent, potential, and journey stand out in an exceptional way.

To receive such support from such a renowned institution is more than an honor — it’s proof that my voice, my work, and my dream have resonated all the way to New York.

But living a dream like this doesn’t come without cost.

Between high tuition fees, rent in New York, and basic living expenses… the mountain ahead is steep.

Some have told me to give up, but I didn’t come this far to turn back. I’m ready to fight for this dream — just like I always have.

That’s why I need your help.

I estimate that one year at AMDA will cost at least $70,000 CAD, a sum I could never reach on my own.

Every donation, no matter the amount, brings me closer to that school, that city, that stage.

The funds will go directly toward my tuition, housing, and basic needs.
