Hi friends! My name is Samuel Kwan, also known as createdfor.thecreator on instagram. As most of you know, I'm a woodworker/craftsman in Toronto. For the last 7 years, I've had the privilege to work under many skilled 'seefu' to learn, develop and hone my practice. 

Although it has been a real honour to work under many skilled craftsman It has also been a dream of mine since forever to open up my own woodshop to take full responsibility to further develop my practice/craft. For the last year, I have been preparing to take that giant but necessary leap into the world of freelance. This means taking on custom orders designing/fabricating furniture pieces to keep me afloat while figuring out all the logistics of locating/renting a shop space. 

This leap (as I'm sure you can imagine) is a big one, mostly because I will no longer have a steady income. I will be relying solely on my own determination, skills, and hustle to cover my living expenses and, in a way paying myself. Currently, I have spent well over $6000 to get started in these beginning months.

Funds would go towards the following:

Tools, material, transportation, monthly overhead, insurance, website/domain. The funds will help me tremendously in the early months while I establish myself.
