Hi, my name is Solange Ramirez and I am beyond excited to announce that I will be starting my first year of teaching this coming fall! I've been preparing for this moment for the last few years, from working at some amazing schools in San Jose and throughout the Bay Area to graduating summa cum laude with my Master's in Teaching with Teaching Credentials at Santa Clara University this past June.

Starting in August, I will be teaching Kindergarten at Green Acres Elementary School and will need some help in preparing my classroom for my incoming 25 Kindies. For most of my students, this will be their first year in a classroom and I imagine they will need a lot of support adjusting to in-person school, and away from home! My goal is to make that experience as seamless, safe, and engaging as possible for my class as we continue to adapt to a changing world. 

With the money we raise, I will be putting it towards purchasing items for my classroom such as:
- Books 
- Supplemental Programs & Curriculums
- Materials (notebooks, worksheets, pencils/crayons/markers/colored pencils, paper, binders, personal instructional manipulatives, etc.)
- Health Safety and Support supplies (masks, hand sanitizers, tissues, cleaning/sanitizing supplies, temperature checker, etc.)
- Furniture (classroom essentials, multiple subject centers, etc.)
- Student Essentials (food/snack, extra clothes, backpacks, etc.)
- On-going classroom supplies and essentials (things get broken and/or damaged throughout the school year and may need to be replaced once or twice!)

Absolutely anything helps! In addition, I am working on an Amazon Classroom Wishlist/Registry that will be updated throughout the year that future parents and families will have access to as well.
