Hey guys. As many of you know, I live with health issues that greatly impact my daily life. About 8 years ago, I was diagnosed with chronic intractable migraines. I was suffering from 20 or more migraine days out of every month and my migraines were treatment resistant. Over the years, in cooperation with doctors, I've tried many, many different medical interventions. I've been prescribed multiple potential preventative medicines, including some used off label - everything from beta blockers to anti-seizure medications to anti-depressants. Either the medications simply did not work for my migraines or that had serious side effects (ex: beta blockers drop my blood pressure dangerously low, anti-seizure medications making me so drowsy I could barely stay awake). I've also been prescribed and used various triptans (emergency medications used to try to stop a migraine once it has started). They also either gave me serious side effects or simply didn't help.

The only medical treatment that has actually worked for me is botox for migraines. I started getting botox treatments about a year and a half ago and it has helped me tremendously. It has reduced my number of migraine days per month to 5-10 (down from 20 or more) and also led to the migraines I do get becoming less severe. Unfortunately, I need to get the treatment approximately every 3 months - and it is expensive and my health insurance does not cover the full cost of a session. Due to financial constraints, I've currently been without my treatment for 6 weeks and my migraines are, once again, happening over 20 days/month (and are worse).

I am looking for $750 to cover part of my out of pocket costs for one botox for migraines session (which will last me for the next 3 months). Currently, with the number of migraines I'm getting each month, I have very little ability to stream and that is greatly effecting my income. If I am able to get this treatment, I should have 3 good months where I can work daily and earn more than enough to cover the cost of the following treatment (which is what I had been doing previously). Basically, I need a little help right now to let me regain some of my health, so that I can get back on track with my work and finances.

I'm attaching a diagram/image here that shows the typical botox for migraine treatment regimen. As you'll see, the injection locations are not the same as cosmetic botox - they're focused around blocking the pain centers for migraines. In addition to the typical areas displayed in the diagram, I also usually receive injections in my jaw area, to help with clenching that happens with my migraines.
